A secure future through improved water management

Waimea Irrigators Limited was formed with the purpose of establishing, in conjunction with Tasman District Council, Nelson City Council and other stakeholders, a long-term solution to the region’s water shortages.

We are passionate about supporting water users, big and small, on the Waimea Plains and surrounding areas. We know that having access to the right amount of water at the right time is essential to grow our local economy, and provide jobs and opportunities for future generations.

Financial Close
Financial close was reached in December 2018. Water Shares have been issued to initial investors.

Current Offer
WIL has issued a new Product Disclosure Statement (PDS), which is available on the Disclose Register or here. A new Offer for Water Shares* in WIL opens on 21 June 2019. If you, or anyone you know is interested in the purchase of additional or new Water Shares please take a look. The current Offer will close on 30 September 2019.

Call dates for the construction charge:
The call date for the first tranche of the construction charge ($125 per share) is 1 July 2019, with payment due by 20 August 2019.

The call date for the final tranche of the construction charge ($125 per share) is 1 July 2020, with payment due by 20 August 2020.

Call for second instalment of 25% payment of water share purchase price:
1 November 2019. This is the Call Date, and if the project goes ahead as planned this date will hold. If the project is delayed for any reason, this Call Date may be some other later date as the WIL Board determines. Shareholders will be notified of the final call date for the second instalment.

Call for third instalment of 25% payment of water share purchase price: 1 May 2020.

*Water Shares in WIL are being offered pursuant to a Product Disclosure Statement dated 14 June 2019 (PDS). WIL is the issuer of these financial products, with both WIL and Century Water Limited being joint offerors. The PDS may be obtained by being viewed or downloaded from this website, or from the New Zealand Companies Office Disclose Register (https://disclose-register.companiesoffice.govt.nz/). The offer will open on 21 June 2019 and no applications can be accepted prior to this date.
